Blog #52
I would ask the Warden to make me a pretty, if it meant saving a friend. Now she will be beautiful without the lesions. She will have what she truly wants.
Blog #51
I think she will regret coming clean if David stays mad at her. She will have lost her boyfriend. I do think he will change his mind though. He will realize how much he loves her and will come back.

Maddy shouldn't force Shay to take the "cure." It's not Maddy's brain. Shay is a big girl and can decide for herself, even though she does have the lesions in her brain.
Blog #49
If I were Shay I would get the cure. I like my brain. It's just fine the way it is without the dumb lesions.
Blog #48
"Tally thought of the lesions on Shay's brain, the tiny cancers or wounds or whatever they are that she didn't even know she had. They were in there somewhere changing her friend's thoughts, warping her feelings, gnawing at the roots of who she was."
Tally isn't doing anything to help her friend. Shay has lesions in her brain that's controlling how she thinks. Its secretly changing her brain whether she likes it or not, and Tally can't do anything about it. Plus, she made her like this.
Blog #47
- David and Tally find Shay.
- She leads them to the rest of the Smokies.
- David wants his dad.
- Maddy steals Dr.Cable's ring.
- They get in the elevator.
- Maddy tells David that Az is dead! :OOO

"Radiology. Neurology. Magnetic Imaging." she read softly."Operating Theatre Two."
This has a deeper meaning to the story. You have to go through all those rooms until you reach the Operating Theatre.
Radiology: the examination or photography of different parts of your body using rays.
Neurology: the study of your nervous system and the diseases that effect them.
Magnetic Imaging: a photograph of the body (MRI)
Interrogation Room One & Two: the room where they question uglies.
Isolation Room One: the room where they keep the people who are being difficult to try to set them straight.
Disorientation Room One: where they mess with their mind and discard their memories.
"She was tall and elegant, every feature perfection. Her eyes---deep and soulful, flecked with copper and gold---widened with a troubled look. Her generous lips parted wordlessly, and she raised one graceful hand."
